After completing the design of another home and music studio for the same client, Carly was brought back for this extensive renovation in Brentwood Bay. The existing condominium held strong potential in its vaulted ceilings and relationship to the ocean views, and the project set out to fully realize that opportunity

The floor plan was reconfigured to better connect the living area and kitchen for entertaining, while a more functional main bathroom and generous entrance were introduced to improve flow and storage. Thoughtful reworking of the layout opened the space considerably, allowing the views to become a defining feature without sacrificing warmth or a sense of distinct zones for living and gathering

A masculine yet contemporary sensibility guided the concept throughout, with an emphasis on texture, warmth, and a lived-in west coast character. Wood ceiling elements and natural, dramatic finishes layer together to create a space that feels grounded and considered. The result is a cozy retreat, relaxed in atmosphere and quietly refined in detail.
